Technology, How-to's, Future tech, Humor, Random sarcasm, Weird science, and of course, Tech.
I am Aayush, 16 (in short, an extra-terrestrial living among humans in New Delhi). I am a Core Programmer, an Ethical Hacker, a Die-hard Foodie and an Amateur Photographer who loves travelling apart from playing Pranks. I am a huge fan of technology, art, literature, cars and gadgets. I have been fiddling with computers even before I could I could speak (let alone write!). Or better put, I have been interacting with computers since I was two-and-a-half years old. :P
I shall be posting on my blog, stuff related to Technology, some Tutorials, Info-graphics, How to's, and sometimes other stuff, etc.

Facebook is poised to reveal a new look for News Feed, and word is the social giant will show off a redesigned mobile version.
All Facebook said in the press invite announcing the March 7 event is we’ll “see a new look for News Feed.” But TechCrunch reported in January that Facebook was testing a mobile News Feed that abandoned the traditional blue and white, chrome-heavy Facebook design for a full-screen, image-based approach.
News Feed hasn’t seen a major redesign in ages and definitely needs one. CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg has called News Feed one of Facebook’s three main pillars, along with Timeline and Graph Search. Graph Search is only a couple months old — many users still don’t have it — and Facebook introduced Timeline in 2011, rolling it out to all profiles in 2012. With those two humming along, it’s time for News Feed to get a complete facelift.

So, let’s say you’re doing a Google search for “Kings.” Did you mean the L.A. hockey team or the Sacramento basketball team? Maybe the TV show? Or maybe you actually wanted to know something about monarchs.
Google on Wednesday announced Knowledge Graph, a significant change to how search results are delivered that the company believes will make their search engine think more like a human.
“The web pages we [currently] return for the search ‘kings,’ they’re all good,” Jack Menzel, director of product management at Google, told CNN in an interview. “You, as a human, associate those words with their real-world meaning but, for a computer, they’re just a random string of characters.”
With Knowledge Graph, which will begin rolling out to some users immediately, results will be arranged according to categories with which the search term has been associated. So, in the above example, boxes will appear with separate results for the hockey team, basketball team and TV show.
The user can then click on one of those boxes to only get results for the specific topic they were searching.
“It hones your search results right in on the task that you’re after,” Menzel said.
More specific searches, say for the name of a celebrity, will render boxes with basic information, as well as links to what Google believes are possibly related searches.
Menzel says the initial version of Knowledge Graph has information on 500 million people, places and things and uses 3.5 billion defining attributes and connections to create categories for them.
The feature will begin rolling out as early as Wednesday afternoon for some users in the United States and eventually be available on desktop, mobile and tablet searches. It will first become available in English, then in other languages, Menzel said.
Today, we’re excited to bring you Instagram for AndroidTM. We’ve already seen more than 30 million people join Instagram to create and share beautiful photos on their iOS devices, and now we’re thrilled to offer a way for Android users to join their iOS friends on Instagram to share their photos with the world.
We’ve been working tirelessly to make this new Android app a first-class mobile photo-sharing experience. We’ve been meticulous about translating the Instagram experience to the Android platform. The Android app offers an extremely familiar Instagram experience when compared to the iOS app. You’ll find all the same exact filters and community as our iOS version.
For the over 30 million people already using Instagram, this is a big step forward for the community as a whole. When we started working on Instagram, we tried to imagine what the world would be like if every single person on earth could share the world around them through the lens on their phones. With the release of Instagram for Android, we’re one step closer to making that goal a reality. Now, more of your friends and family can share their lives, and follow yours, through a series of beautiful images.
We’re so excited to welcome Android users to what has become an inspiring and thriving community. We’ve worked hard to bring you the best photo-sharing experience on Android, and look forward to seeing your photos and hearing your feedback. Enjoy!
Project Detroit is a great example of how Microsoft technologies can empower developers to build the next generation of consumer experiences on devices of all sizes. Microsoft, in partnership with West Coast Customs, retrofitted a 2012 Ford Mustang with the aesthetic of a 1967 fastback while incorporating cutting-edge technology, never before used in automotive applications. With the open-sourced code from Project Detroit, developers can do more than just imagine the possibilities, they can start building them.
Similar to a concept car, Project Detroit was created to inspire developers to think about building apps and automotive technologies of the future. Connected-device scenarios featured in the car incorporate Kinect for Xbox 360, Xbox 360, the Windows operating system, Windows Phone, Windows Azure, Bing, Ford Sync and more.
Project Detroit can be remotely located, unlocked and started all from the Viper SmartStart app for Windows Phone.
Swipe the touch screen instrument cluster to toggle between different dashboard skins and use the tablet embedded in the passenger-side dash to do anything from surfing the Web to sending messages that display on the rear windshield for other cars.
Using a Windows Phone, remotely watch and listen to the live video stream and audio from the Kinects embedded in Project Detroit. From this same application, your Windows Phone becomes like a microphone for the car’s external audio PA system.
Using custom applications for Windows Phone, various aspects of Project Detroit can be altered with the touch of a button or swipe of a finger — from changing the accent lighting and the horn sound “ringtone” to activating the “projector screen” or sending a message to the rear windshield.
Project Detroit’s front and rear Kinect cameras transmit a live video feed of surrounding pedestrians and objects directly to the interior dashboard displays.
Project Detroit features multiple, touch screen, dashboard displays, including one on the passenger side. Use the tablet to do anything from checking the weather to playing Xbox games.

Flying robot quadrotors perform the James Bond Theme by playing various instruments including the keyboard, drums and maracas, a cymbal, and the debut of an adapted guitar built from a couch frame. The quadrotors play this “couch guitar” by flying over guitar strings stretched across a couch frame; plucking the strings with a stiff wire attached to the base of the quadrotor. A special microphone attached to the frame records the notes made by the “couch guitar”.
These flying quadrotors are completely autonomous, meaning humans are not controlling them; rather they are controlled by a computer programed with instructions to play the instruments.
Penn’s School of Engineering and Applied Science is home to some of the most innovative robotics research on the planet, much of it coming out of the General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception (GRASP) Lab.
This video premiered at the TED2012 Conference in Long Beach, California on February 29, 2012. Deputy Dean for Education and GRASP lab member Vijay Kumar presented some of this groundbreaking work at the TED2012 conference, an international gathering of people and ideas from technology, entertainment, and design.
